As planned, no touring today. I am still fighting a sever cold and am very much under the weather. When I visited an urgent care in El Centro a few days ago among other things they prescribed a high powered couch syrup but the doc said it was unavailable! Huh? Never heard of such a thing! So when we got to San Diego, we checked and it is also not available here! So we found a suitable over-the-counter substitute at Rite Aid so we headed out at noon to pick some up and to grab a bite to eat. It seems to be helping, so hopefully the cough syrup along with the antibiotic and other stuff they gave me I will be able to shake this soon...
Other than that I did battle over the phone with Bank of America for an hour or so. Apparently on the 18th, four days ago, our credit card was compromised. Yesterday I had problems trying to buy advanced tickets to visit the USS Midway. Long story short they have to send us new cards and luckily I have a grade school / junior high classmate from DeWitt here in San Diego where we can have the cards sent. So in a couple days we will have new credit cards.
Our list for touring San Diego is growing. Doreen has a couple light houses she wants to visit. We plan to tour the USS Midway. Sunday we will tour Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres baseball team and then on the 28th we will attend their home opener. We want to drive through the other military campground located right on the shore, and visit a couple beaches. There is an old town San Diego area that looks interesting and a farmers market on Saturday.
That's it for tonight. Sorry for the boring report. With any luck I will be feeling better tomorrow..
