On these extended trips we have to program in "down days" periodically to catch up on maintenance, do laundry, work on trip planning, etc and today was one of those days. I spent most of the day working on our trip. At the San Diego and Los Angeles stops we will be attending Major League baseball games and then we have to deal with how we are going to get there (route, mass transit vs driving vs Uber), parking, ticket purchase, what we are going to do with the dog, etc.
We are also wanting to make sure our upcoming RV park reservations are intact, so I usually call ahead and verify all is well. As we saw in Tucson, we need to get the crystal ball out and figure out what attractions we are going to be seeing in the future and which ones we need reservations. Places like Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon tours come to mind..
Doreen did several loads of laundry today and also cooked up a corned beef with potatoes, carrots and onions in the Instant Pot this afternoon which made for a great supper. Friday night there is a TV show called Gold Rush that we watch, and tonight is the season finale, so we always try to tune in on that, or at least record it and watch it later.
Other than that after tonight we have one night left in Apache Junction, Saturday we are having lunch with some friends from Des Moines who are down here for the winter and we will also tear down and pack so we can get an early start Sunday morning when we move to El Centro CA. That will be about 5-1/2 hours including driving and stops. We will be staying at a Naval Air Facility (military) called the Palm Oasis RV Park and we will be there for three nights.
