7 Feb 2019 - Doggie Haircut, Chuys for Lunch, RAM Dealer and Selena Monument

Weather is still wild.  Wind crazy last night and as I write this we have winds 25-40 mph again.  Satellite dish retracted for safety, and everything else outside secured.  Temps to remain above freezing tonight and tomorrow's high is 47F with drizzle.

Liberty had a grooming appointment at noon today so about 1130 we headed to Petsmart and dropped her off.  They estimated 3-4 hours so we had some time to kill.  Next stop was the RAM dealership.  I am still experiencing very intermittent high pitched noise from what we believe is the right rear of the truck.  It is not noticeable above 50 mph or below about 30 mph and it seems we have to travel a few miles for it to start and then it is hit or miss.  Really nice service consultant at the dealership and we agreed I would drive the truck around and attempt to get the noise to appear and be back at 1500 hrs.

From there we went to Chuy's which is a Tex Mex restaurant chain .  We've eaten there before while in Texas.  None in Iowa but they are common in the south and east.  If you get a chance to try a Chuy's and like Tex Mex food, you won't be disappointed.

After lunch we headed back towards the dealership and stopped at a nearby Walmart for a few things. Then we headed back towards Ocean Drive, the same one we cruised a few days ago. Hopefully we can get the truck to act up. while we were driving around we passed the life size bronze statue of the murdered singer Selena Quintanilla-Perez. She was apparently murdered by her assistant and head of her fan club in 1995 at the young age of 24!

We continued our drive and after over an hour of driving not a peep out of the truck. Go figure! So on the way back to pick up the dog we stopped in the dealership and explained the situation. The service advisor encouraged me to stop in anytime if we could get it to act up and they would make time for me. Nicely done, Lithia Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram of Corpus Christi.
