Thick fog continues. We could not see anything if we did go out driving around today, so we stayed put and worked on the next trip plan.
We made a lot of headway with the logistics as it is Monday and we were able to make connections with those offices we needed to reach. We secured reservations in Richmond VA, Williamsburg VA, Virginia Beach VA and have intel on Charleston and Savannah.
We found some of the military campgrounds we contacted are no longer in operation, some maybe all due to hurricane damage. We will continue to work this as the clock is ticking on the prime reservations. One of the sites that was already booked up was the Sea Mist RV Park in Virginia Beach, but we found a nice alternative inland a bit. Our stops are a bit close together but there is just so much history out there, especially Civil War history, that we wanted to maximize our opportunities. We are betting on the come that there will be a budget passed by July! Otherwise much of this is all in vain!
Tomorrow we will again plan to head up Ocean Drive to downtown and see some sites if the fog has cleared.
