Ready to move on. I think we have seen what we wanted to see here at Montgomery, and Pensacola FL is calling our name! This is the last day at Montgomery and Maxwell Air Force Base. We could not get into Pensacola any sooner due to unavailability of sites, but if we could have, I would have cut this Montgomery visit short. We had more time here than we needed.
We worked on the planning of our east coast trip a bit and I also worked on the blog, troubleshooting notifications and comments problems. It seems there are some inherent issues with Blogger, the blog engine we are using. I dived into HTML a bit deeper than I had planned, but did so with a good backup of the blog in case things go south.
Doreen did a couple loads of laundry so we will be arriving Pensacola with about everything clean including the bed sheets and towels.
On our off-base excursion I noticed a problem with the pickup, second time I've experienced it. The symptom is after the truck is started it will not shift out of park. You have to shut it off and restart it to get the problem to clear. My hunch is it is related to a recent software update completed by Dewey Dodge before we departed. That software update was driven by a safety recall. Apparently some RAM's were able to shift out of park with the engine off. So I am guessing the software update has a problem. We will check in with the local RAM dealer once we get to Pensacola. I may have the oil changed while I am there. It did not quite need it before I departed but it may when we hit the Gulf Coast.
Next report will be from Blue Angel Naval Recreation Area, Pensacola FL
